Mother's Day falls on May 11th, not too far away! Over the coming week I will be posting gift ideas with a difference!

easter around the corner...

Wednesday, April 16, 2014

Easter is just about upon us, the school holidays have definately started and there are traffic jams around The Haighs Chocolate Factory!

Etienne will be open on Saturday but closed the public holidays.

There have been new arrivals this week, gorgeous emerald green ceramics, wacky digital print cushions, great washed side tables just drive past the front windows and you can grab a quick peek, plus a divine cow hide sled bench, you will have to enter the store or visit the online store to view this piece!

A divine selection of rugs, patchwork kilims 2 x 3metres in size and runners 3m x 80cm have just landed from Istanbul, cotton dhurry rugs I sourced in India are now available. It is definately getting to that "rug time of year".

Wishing everyone a happy and safe Easter.

alpaca, wool, cotton ...

Wednesday, April 9, 2014

As the cooler autumn nights approach it is the time to reach for rugs on the couch, snuggle into bed for that little bit longer or to enjoy the visual luxury of a draped throw...

We have just received in store a beautiful array of throws, sourced from within and outside Australia, crafted from the finest alpaca, natural wool, linen and cotton in colours to suit every room.

On my recent amazing trip to India, I found throws made from boiled wool, with a hand knotted fringe either in, tone on tone or with a burst of turquoise, reds and greens.
We house throws that are designed in Denmark, crafted in Peru and are the softest of alpaca wool, in neutral hues, soft grey, tawny taupe, stripes and plain.

Combining textures, colours in vibrant or neutral tones, throws are just the thing to cosy up with during the colder months.
